Losing myself- the 2 and a half year struggle

Losing myself- the 2 and a half year struggle

True story, one hell of a bumpy ride too! the very short version!

It all started well 2 and half years ago…in a small town, in your everyday average trailer park, calmness and routine collided with the unknown and unexpected!

With excitement and wonder, with Sheetz coffee & peanut M& M’s! With tight jeans & Going commando! We met online, hit it off, and got engaged in 3 weeks; he literally never left after the first day we met (besides work, and the obvious!)

Very, very Long story short- 2 and a half years later – alcohol + Money issues + relationship issues = I lost myself, my goals, and my mind for a bit even I think! I keep the positive great memories and moved on from the rest! with a new outlook, inner peace and lessons learned!

I called it! Made him move out and as I recovered from a relationship, that I am now certain should have been a friendship only! I made a new plan! Too re-find myself, relearn how to love myself, my life, and re-bond with my kid’s stat! So, here I am on my blog continuing that ongoing lifelong goal!

And boy am I blessed I did! I will never look back, as I have learned I am not going that way! Amen 4 that!

here is to the life lessons learned and the new start to finding myself, loving myself, and learning to love life daily!

Ideas to Pay It Forward-

45 Beautiful Ideas to Pay It Forward – Planet of Success

  1. Spend some time with the elderly. There are many people in retirement homes that have no one who comes visiting. You could drop by your local old-age home and ask if there’s someone whose day you could brighten.
  2. Be forgiving. Life will confront you with numerous opportunities to lose your patience. Perhaps someone is “stealing” your parking spot. Or the intern made another terrible mistake. Whatever it is, be willing to forgive others immediately. Be kind about their weaknesses and try to see yourself in them
  3. Encourage others with Post-it notes. There are many places where people could greatly use some encouragement. If you have the time, consider posting some motivating or encouraging notes in these places.
  4. Sponsor a child. There’s always the opportunity to sponsor underprivileged children from your own country or other countries.

The show of my childhood & the heart strings attached!

There are many, many shows I watched growing up, mostly my parents picked them, and I watched alongside them , you would think that would be a sad story, like awe man that poor women had to watch maw and paw kettle 24/7 or some equally as old and black and white t.v. show! But gnaw! It was a very awesome experience, and it even helped me round out in my t.v. experiences!

Ok, so this is what I mean it was a melting pot of shows with many different genres – My dad, liked everything from wwe to westerns, my mom liked little house on the prairie to mattlock oh and of course days of our lives! How could I forget that one! Shame on me! Lol.

I did get to watch “my shows” after 3 pm as long as my sisters or my brother did not decided to argue on which one we were going to watch “together!”

You know save the bell, 90210, tom & Jerry! Gosh, I can’t even remember anymore lol but there were loads, deciding was hard back then! Now I just have to do a web search on that, right now!

I loved the humor! As always

The” touchy” topics covered where awesomely refreshing, like I caught myself saying in my head “about damn time somebody said it!, or talked about it!”

My 13 year old daughter even enjoyed it, in fact she was so into it she begged me to down more cheesies and watch 2 more episodes on demand!! Even our dog Precious got involved (more 4 the snacks, lol) in my daughters words Roseanna is” it’s a Ten!” 13 and she already has good down to earth taste J- makes a mother proud!!

Twisted Me,HOME MAKER PROUD!!

so i am a home maker, right?! seems simple, right!? WRONG!! i swear i have the hardest job “homemaking” any homemaker  that is just not me of course,
really, Leslie how can that be? you should see my job, or my work space or my boss!!
sure!!  let me put home making in to my
‘real to life, definition- ready?- you sure? OK here it is in a blunt honest to a fault kind of way that… is so my way lol, those whom know me personally would so agree, they are probably reading this right now, thinking oh no, here it comes, this aint going to be pretty!
lol, seriously now here is how i describe home making to ppl that ask me if i like it or would i take a “real outside home job”
my reply.

dude to raise a child you need,
to be a chef, to feed em,a nurse to heal them , a teacher so they learn, a cop to discipline them, a seamstress to dress em ,a  cab driver to take em places, a judge to enforce rules and in their punishments, a jury to be fair,a body guard to keep em safe, a comedian to make em laugh, and lets not forget a shrink to figure them out!! lol
we as homemakers, and parents even carry special weapons, sure we do –
the ability to magically, kiss away boo-boo’s, scare monsters in closets, see their “magic friend” or their masterpiece done in art .. or with the crayons on the wall!
it takes unconditional love, understanding, imagination, an open mind, big heart, and working hours are always 24-7!
now times that by 4 in my case or by how many ever blessings you have!!all that and a cup of coffee anytime I want it or need it is the main reasons out of my 18 years of homemaking that makes me proud to be me!!

Twisted Me-

my favorite 3 some of life!

Why, coffee diapers and a cigarette are my favorite 2 some in life of course!!

Yes that is “out of the box” and that was not a pun for smoking or nothing, I wanted it unique, different, strange, just like who I am, all these things, and then some I suppose.

See where some people use fancy vocab, or colored text, or unique pictures.. I use whatever comes into my mind and “moves me” or “inspires me” some even daily, as this Blog title does,  sometimes several times a day I quote this very phrase to myself, in and out of the public eye even… People in local Walt-Mart’s seem to get a Jolt out of it every now and again, and my children have learned to shorten it to a coined phrase..” mom’s having a coffee and cigarette kinda day.”

And no worries they try there dam-nest to get me to stop smoking, stickers stuck to every stick able place, 1-800 numbers stuffed in every purse they can find…. They have even paused at the smoking commercials and stated this is you smoking, five years from now.

Ironically I always go to the, this is your brain, and this is your brain on drugs commercial with the egg in the frying pan bit. Do any of you remember that one? Stuck with me for life I never touched anything more than smokes, but funny how I think of that every time the kids stop for a healthy commercial break. I even when to YouTube.com and found the video just for this post… ya didn’t take much, but alas I did it anyways.

(Pat’s self on back.) Hey you got to love yourself before you can love anyone else ya know.

this is your brain on drugs video – yep the original video check it out!! Man, I miss the old days!!

The diaper part is more like a pun on words or so. Or should I say, a multiple meanings per say would be a better description of it I suppose.

See diapers’ meaning, when my kids wore them, a diaper holds piss n shit messes, life’s little helper so I say. And it has become a code word, for myself, a pause regroup … throw the shit in the diaper of life and tosses it out!

It aint worth holding on to… it will stink up your day and it wastes space in your heart , where good happy healthy stuff could go, like my love for coffee! See what I mean? Works well actually I even have a page in my, self-love journal.Where I have a page dedicated to a paper diaper, and poop shaped pieces to add “the shit and piss of my day.” The page is creatively Called “Time for a diaper change.” I love it, it is fun, funny and work’s its main purpose magic.

Information on my home made journal is In another post here

And well the coffee part, coffee well it should be already known by now I love my coffee, with creamer a true dash of sugar and my favorite mugs…

with my helpful 3 some I have got a handle on life, love , and the pursuit of happiness… and that is just the coolest part of my day… armed and ready… I face the world…move forward and grow! What are your battle weapons in life? Do you have a favorite 3 some?! Do Or do you just play doge ball and tuck n roll throughout your day? How do you deal with life’s little shit dropping moments?

Thanks for reading, , and as always, may your day be blessed.

making your home a haven November

I found my inspiration from this gem of a post here:

https://womenlivingwell.org/2012/10/the-3rd-annual-making-your-home-a-haven-challenge-is-back/

I am not a very religious person, I am a new found pagan beginner actually! ( that story here.) But I loved a lot of the ideas involved in this post! so, those ideas are:

1.November 5thGo buy an extra large candle and light a candle everyday in your home.

( I use my son Gage’s angel candles. His story here.)

2.November 12th Play soft music everyday in your home. (there is always music somewhere,me,kids, somewhere)

3.November 19th – Focus on the kitchen, the heart of the home. Cook things with pleasant aromas – like homemade bread, pies, and cookies. ( 90% of my cooking is homemade, but focusing on the pies & cookies fall fun too)

3.November 26th – Decorate! The holidays are upon us.

( I decorated 4 thanksgiving earlier, see pictures here, but I will use this day for St. Nickolas decorating)

Fill an empty bottle with dimes, and get the feels!

What in the world? Fill a bottle? Get the feels? What have you been sticking in your morning coffee lady? Really, nothing but good ole coffee cream and a dash of sugar, BUT I have added more “feels” to my day and it is stress free too! Come on; grab a clean dry empty bottle, small med large up to you in size! I am using a one liter; I got it at the dollar tree (my son wanted a Pepsi bad!) raised it , dried it and re read this pin, on FACEBOOK.Com. And BOOM!! Stress-free, easy as pie way to add accomplishment to my day! More money in my pocket and a new stress free goal to my life REALLY!

Here: Dime challenge (click it and ck it out)

How it helps:

· If you have a dime drop it in the bottle if not no biggie, when you do get one the “yay I have a dime” will excite you and you will be delighted it drop it in.

· You will save money the fun way! (I started smaller than suggested I wanted to add yearly advancement goals, step up to a bigger one each year. (Baby steps for me!)

· If you’re like me, I don’t like to feel pressured to meet the goal, and with this challenge I DON’T!! Because it’s like “oh, I do or do not have a dime today to drop in, hmm maybe tomorrow.”

· It’s fun! I have even found myself swapping my kids dimes for quarters or dollars, so I had dimes to drop in! the kids love it , it has almost became a weekly game for us here, “guess who has dimes this week , and who needs em’”

· Make it a year end family “date night.” We chose the 1stday of December 2016 to turn in our bottle of dimes, and we will use a small amount for a family date night, and the rest for extra Christmas cheer, and a pay it forward activity!

· And, you’re recycling a bottle! Yay mother earth is so happy!!

So far our 1 liter bottle is nowhere near full or even impressively filled. But for the 3 short months we have been doing the dime challenge the fun, memories, and bonding has outweighed the actually challenge to my family and I! so why not grab an empty bottle, and some dimes and have fun!! Feel free to email me or comment on your updates, inputs or ideas! I would love to hear them.

Until the next post, may your coffee be hot and your diaper of life not! (Lol, my 11 year old daughter came up with that one! J )
